About Us: At JTEKT Column Systems North America, we're committed to excellence and innovation. We're looking for a dynamic Material Planner to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and meeting our delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan inventory, send releases, and coordinate the flow of work and materials to meet delivery expectations of forecasted and actual sales while minimizing inventory levels.
· Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
· Manage inventory levels to meet corporate/departmental goals.
· Coordinate material movement between suppliers, warehouse, and the production floor.
· Proactively identify current and potential product shortages, develop and implement recovery strategies, and keep relevant stakeholders informed of status and progress. Be a key participant in annual physical inventory.
· Perform inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy; investigate and reconcile discrepancies and negatives.
· Post daily production and inventory transactions (downtime, scrap, etc.).

Experience
- Proven experience in materials management, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle EBS, or other relevant ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience in demand planning and forecasting techniques is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
