1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Quality Manager.
2 PURPOSE
2.1 Function
2.1.1 Visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing, and control of parts, products, and raw materials to conform to established specifications.
2.1.2 Applicable standards of API and the ISO9001 quality system.
2.1.3 Provides training to employees related to the quality processes.
2.1.4 Provides hands-on leadership related to product improvement and problem solving.
2.2 Authority
2.2.1 Ensure organization and format of related data and distribution of assigned reports.
3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Utilize CMM programming for both product and gaging (as qualified).
3.2 Develop instructions for setup/use of CMM programs.
3.3 Layout of parts or gages as required, utilizing appropriate methods (i.e. CMM, height gages, etc.)
3.4 Maintain master list of CMM programs.
3.5 Maintain calibration database and provide schedules/status reports at specified intervals.
3.6 Perform calibrations for handheld gages and check fixtures per applicable work instructions.
3.7 Coordinate gage R&R studies (working with responsible Quality Engineer).
3.8 Coordinate outside calibrations as applicable.
3.9 Purchase replacement gages and/or new “standard” gages as required.
3.10 Coordinate plant gage training.
3.11 Assist QE’s with PPAP submission package (i.e. dimensional reports).
3.12 Provide customer and supplier support as required.
3.13 Support receiving inspection activities.
3.14 Support production validation and corrective action activities.
3.15 Maintain compliance to applicable quality system procedures.
3.16 Other duties as assigned.

5 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
6 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional environment, as well as a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role also is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
7 QUALIFICATIONS
7.1 High School diploma or equivalent.
7.2 Associate’s Degree or CQT preferred.
7.3 Minimum two -three years of experience programing PCDMIS software
7.4 Experience with Keyence measurement equipment
7.5 Minimum two years of experience in quality discipline
7.6 Working knowledge of SPC/process capability.
7.7 Working knowledge of gage usage.
7.8 Proficient in MS Office, to also include AS400.
7.9 Strong math skills.
7.10 Good organization skills.
7.11 Good communication skills.
7.12 Self-motivated.
8 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
8.1 Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
8.2 Must be able to lift 32 pounds at times.
8.3 Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
9 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may require extended hours and possible weekend work.
10 TRAVEL
Travel to vendor and customer worksites may be required.
