This is a B Shift Position (8p-6a), must train on A Shift (6a-4p)
Starting Pay Range is $24.99-$30.15 Depending on Experience
Summary / Purpose:
Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.
Core Duties and Accountabilities:
Service and maintain press tools which include: sharppening, repairing, adjusting and replacing tools in Thust Bearing Stamping Department 35 and Ball Bearing Stamping Department 32.
Assist press operators with troubleshooting set up problems to allow machines to run and produce acceptable parts.
Assist operators on a run with a new die.
This job requires that you be trained and certified under the "Authorized Lock out Tag out policy" respective to this job and the task being performed.
Prevent dies from becoming worn out by tracking wear on tooling and performing preventative maintenance on tools.
Replacing tooling components before they become unusable or cause production problems.
Order parts from machine shop or supply crib as necessary so that parts are in stock and available when needed.
Compare actual tooling dimensions with part print dimensions to verify they match and identify when corrective action is needed.
Other Potential Duties and Accountabilities:
Suggest tool changes that are to be approved by Tool&Die Supervisor
Develop an awareness of OPT (Optimized Production Technology)
Understand how to schedule and prioritize given tasks
Demonstrate the ability to show pride in workmanship and professionalism.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to maintain 5S during all tasks.
Complete required paperwork correctly and in a timely manner.
Education and Experience:
Two-year Associates Degree in machining from a technical school or at least 5 years of experience in a related field.
Must pass the Mechanical Aptitude Test administed by the Human Resouce Department
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Must be able to pass a PIT exam in order to obtain Industrial Lift License.
Requires lifting up to 40 lbs.
