Summary/Purpose
Set-Up and operate end grinders to produce close tolerance precision parts, while ensuring the parts meet the customer required specifications.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Maintain and continuously develop 5s system that addresses safety, housekeeping, quality, and continuous improvement.
Maintain and fully support Autonomous PM System. Responsibilities must be accurately and in a timely manner.
Use Process Prints and Operation Sheets to set-up end grinders, to ensure parts are being produced to customer specifications.
Set-up and operate gauges to measure parts, ensuring parts are being produced to customer specifications.
Operate end grinders to produce the scheduled amount of precision parts, in order to meet customer demand.
Gage parts at specified intervals to ensure tolerances are being held.
Constantly monitor machine production and make adjustments to insure parts meet customer specifications.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must demonstrate good mechanical aptitude. (Assessment will be given)
Must be disciplined to follow Standard Work Practices.
Must be able to read and interpret process prints.
Must have good math skill in dealing with decimals and fractions.
Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively and efficiently.
Must be multi-tasked to handle multiple diverse tasks accurately and completely.
Must be a self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or will be subject to being called in at odd hours when needed.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous mechanical experience is preferred

Work is performed in a normal manufacturing area.
This position has an exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, electrical power distribution and controls, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, steam distribution and generation, water and sewage systems, various types of lubricants, chemical and wash baths, extreme heat from furnaces, extreme cold from cryogenic units, mechanical machine operation, etc.
Will be regularly required to climb, stand, sit, and reach with hands, fingers, and arms.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
This position requires regular lifting of work up to 40 pounds, and push or pulling work up to 125 pounds with proper equipment
Employee may perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
