Summary/Purpose
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous improvements and production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Ensures compliance with TS standards to maintain certification
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
Initiates investigation of customer complaints regarding quality and ensures appropriate action and customer satisfaction.
Assures completion of appropriate quality planning and implementation of established control plans.
Directs the implementation and maintenance of the quality policy, quality procedures and instructions.
Assists with the review of results of internal quality audits.
Insures corrective and preventative actions are carried out by the members of the management team to eliminate any nonconformance in the system.
Regularly report to the management team an assessment of the divisions quality performance.
Reviews supplier performance with management and ensures appropriate actions are taken.
Continually increase “quality awareness” in all associates and suppliers.
Identify and complete training requirements for quality associates.
Represent the manufacturing division at internal and external meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, slip resistant shoes, and mandatory hearing protection. Additional personal protective equipment may be required to comply with the standards of certain work areas.
Travel up to 20% is required by automobile and plane which may require at times and including overnight lodging.
Must be available to be called in odd hours and weekends for plant issues.
Working various shifts and weekends, holidays and during plant shutdowns is required at certain times.
