Sr. Financial Analyst
Location: Vonore, TN
Reports to: Controller
Grade 305/306 based on experience
Summary/Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support Automotive & Driveline Business (ASBU) plant accounting compliance program, to assist with analytical support for ASBU, and to assist with business plan preparation and analysis. This position could be used to support sites during a Plant Controller vacancy.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
• Ensure manufacturing plants within ASBU are in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Support finance team with month end and business plan analysis.
• Learn plant accounting processes with the intent of covering for or replacing a plant controller in the future.
• Coordinate yearly standard cost development/roll between plants and IT.
• Coordinate physical and asset inventories between plants and IT.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required. Microsoft Access abilities preferred.
• Solid communication skills.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing company strongly preferred with knowledge of standard costing practices and inventory controls.
• Experience with fully integrated ERP systems is required. Prior experience with Oracle systems is preferred.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s in accounting required
• CPA/CMA preferred but not required
• 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
