REPORTS TO Materials Manager
Summary/PurposeThe Supply Chain Intern will assist the Materials Manager with special projects pertaining to process improvement and data analytics. The Intern will present the results of their projects to the Cairo leadership team after the duration of the assignment.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities: • Assist the Materials department on a daily basis.• Access and navigate Oracle Supply Chain Planning database.• Implement improvements in Supply Chain Management through Demand Planning, Material Availability, and Production Planning.• Utilize Power BI or other software to build forecasting tools and processes.• Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.• Participate in daily supply planning meetings.• Requires the ability to interact and work with associates at multiple skill levels throughout the organization.• Other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Experience using data visualization software such as Power BI• Excellent computer skills including the Microsoft Office Group of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint• Solid analytical skills and self-motivation.• Capable of data analytics to build predictive modeling• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and electronic) • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.• Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures/systems
Education and Experience: • Current college student or recent graduate studying Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
