Maintenance Team Lead (Night Shift)
Summary/Purpose
To lead assigned maintenance team in effective troubleshooting and reliability improvements to production equipment.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
Lead technician(s) for assigned shift; responsible for communications to his shift
End of shift hand off to incoming shift
Sets priorities for the shift technician(s) related to downtime, PM’s and projects
Monitor work being done on assigned shift and support the team members
Knowledge and understanding of the following:
Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and troubleshooting
Bearing applications and troubleshooting.
CNC systems and troubleshooting
PLC systems and troubleshooting
Electrical systems and troubleshooting
Oil/lube systems and troubleshooting
Ability to use general gages such as calipers, micrometer, cylinder gage, dial indicator, etc.
Understanding of hand and power tool usage
General knowledge of operating and maintaining heating, cooling and/or ventilation equipment
Ability to analyze and solve technical maintenance problems including building maintenance, equipment, plumbing, and other types of repairs.
Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Maintenance Technicians report to Team Leader
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Special equipment knowledge, such as grinding, chip handing systems, vacuum and filtration, etc.
Use of metal cutting and tooling, cutting fluids and their use.
General knowledge of and their use of heating, cooling, ventilation systems, and compressed air systems
Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication systems, PLC systems and nomenclature
Experience working within close tolerance measurements and part drawing interpretation
Strong problem solving ability and work well without close supervision
Ability to work in team environment and support company policies
Excellence in attendance and verbal/written communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity.
Ability to access equipment, work overtime and weekend as needed.
Education and Experience:
Associates’ Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Technologies or applicable field or equivalent relevant maintenance work experience with experience in a similar leadership type role

Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
