1st year Apprentice – Industrial Electrician

Position Summary 

As a 1st Year Apprentice Industrial Electrician, you will embark on your journey of gaining technical expertise in the field of electrical installations, primarily within the Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Industrial sectors. Your role will include learning the basics of electrical system installations, understanding project schedules, and beginning to interpret layout drawings under the supervision of experienced electricians. 

This initial year is crucial for establishing a strong foundation in electrical systems, safety protocols, and the overall workflow of electrical projects. You will start to familiarize yourself with reading blueprints and schematics and get an introduction to low voltage systems. A significant part of your first year will involve observing and assisting with basic tasks, ensuring a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of electrical work, and focusing on safe work practices. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Reports directly to the Leadman on any given Project. 

• Work with existing workforce 

• Effectively represent Kelley’s core values and reputation in a positive, professional manner. 

• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of equipment and tools. 

• Understand and comply/enforce all company policies and procedures. 

• Maintain open communication with appropriate leadership roles. 

• Attend internal and external training courses which pertain to improving and developing job related operational skills. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• High school Graduate 

• Must be at least 21 years of age. 

• Must Completed your 1st year of apprenticeship. 

• Must pass a drug/alcohol screen upon offer of employment. 

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license. 

• May be required to pass a physical abilities test/post offer screen for employment. 

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States of America or other countries as may be required.
