Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Project Superintendent to provide leadership on large-scale electrical and control system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing complex projects from concept through completion. This includes overseeing crews, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance, and supporting commissioning activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role—while you'll direct teams on major projects, you may also be required to work with your tools for smaller projects or during critical phases of larger ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Area Manager or Project Manager.
- Lead electrical and control system installations on new and existing construction projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Manage project schedules, change orders, and daily reporting (logs and time sheets).
- Coordinate material procurement, workforce allocation, and subcontractor performance.
- Oversee job site safety, compliance, and overall project quality.
- Monitor job costs, billing, and support collections as needed.
- Ensure timely paperwork submission to the main office.
- Represent company values and promote a positive work environment.
- Evaluate direct reports and administer performance reviews.
- Participate in preconstruction planning and estimating.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and available for use.
- Train and support team members to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Stay up to date on relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Master Electrician License required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- 10 years of experience in electrical contracting, with at least 5 years leading large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews, project schedules, and job site logistics.
- Strong working knowledge of blueprint reading, low-voltage systems, workplace safety practices, and construction specifications.
- Must be highly organized, proactive, and a strong communicator.
