Position Summary

As an Electrical Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating electrical projects in diverse environments, including Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Industrial sectors. This position involves both local and potentially national assignments. Your primary responsibilities include supervising the installation and maintenance of electrical and control systems, ensuring projects adhere to specific schedules, and overseeing the interpretation and implementation of layout drawings.

A significant part of your role will be managing and directing a team of electricians, which includes providing mentorship to apprentices and journeymen. You will be responsible for ordering materials, coordinating with subcontractors, and leading the installation process. Your leadership will ensure project compliance, oversee start-up, and commission activities to guarantee the safety and efficiency of electrical systems.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess robust leadership and organizational skills, underpinned by extensive experience in industrial and manufacturing environments. You should demonstrate expertise in installation and construction processes, blueprint reading, schematics, and working with various voltage systems. A deep understanding of workplace safety practices and the ability to ensure adherence to these standards across your team is essential. As a foreman, you will work with tools as necessary and be actively involved in all project phases, from planning to execution and completion.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Reports directly to the Project Manager on any given Project
    • Turn in timely and thorough daily logs and time sheets.
    • Coordinate with project management activities for material procurement and delivery, effective utilization of labor hours and overall project performance to meet/exceed quoted cost performance.
    • Work with existing workforce and request additional staffing as required according to projects demand.
    • Ensure appropriate paperwork is submitted in a timely manner.
    • Effectively represent Kelley’s core values and reputation in a positive, professional manner and ensure each crew does the same.
    • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of equipment and tools.
    • Ensure crews have the appropriate tools, equipment, and training to perform the required tasks safely and efficiently for assigned projects.
    • Understand and comply/enforce all company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain open communication with appropriate onsite supervision, Project Manager/Estimators and Kelley senior management.
    • Attend internal and external training courses which pertain to improving and developing job related business management, leadership, and operational skills.

 

 

  • Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Graduate
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a Journeyman License
  • 8 years of industrial and manufacturing experience
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screen upon offer of employment.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to pass a physical abilities test/post-offer screen for employment.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States of America or other countries as may be required.
