The Sr. Electrical Power Design Engineer will serve as a technical leader and key contributor within our Bakersfield, CA office. This role is instrumental in the design, analysis, and management of industrial power distribution systems. The ideal candidate will combine extensive experience in electrical consulting design with strong leadership and project coordination abilities to oversee the preparation of comprehensive electrical design packages.
This is an on-site position in Bakersfield, CA, with relocation assistance available. The Sr. Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of design projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior designers and drafters to meet technical and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the creation of electrical drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance, and managing resources to deliver on project timelines. In addition to the core responsibilities, the position offers opportunities to engage in advanced electrical studies, troubleshooting, and field support.
REQUIREMENTS :
Sr. level Electrical Power Design Engineer background, with BSEE and California PE license.
Work out of Bakerfield, CA head office. (Not a remote position.Relocation assisted.)
Minimum 10 years of electrical consulting design experience in industrial power distribution design environment.
Minimum 5 years direct experience in providing design leadership and project engineering coordination to designers and drafters in preparing electrical design drawings, specifications, drawing packages, and construction level electrical drawings.
Highly technical and experienced in providing technical leadership in industrial power distribution designs, and providing guidance to designers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
In-plant electrical engineering support experience.
Electrical studies and arc flash analysis experience (ETAP, SKM, etc.)
Field troubleshooting experience.
Able to manage electrical distribution design projects and resources to get project electrical design drawings done.
Salary range : $100,000 - $175,000 yr, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills& Experience.
