Knife River is looking for dependable Asphalt Paving Crew members to join our team!
Job Summary: Performs the duties of asphalt paving in various construction environments.
Primary Job duties include:
- Shall demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform asphalt paving operations including operation of pavers, screeds, raking, shoveling and compacting asphalt on parking lots, streets, and highways.
- Person shall be able to work safely and follow all company policies.
- Person shall be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
- Operators shall have the ability to conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicant must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license/CDL preferred, and a quality driving record under company policy. Applicant must successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug test and physical. Prefer 3 years of minimum experience with the defined type of equipment. Ability to operate different types of equipment a plus. Physical Requirements: job requires steady to intermittent and repetitive physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling and raking. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
