JTS Professional Grounds is a leading commercial landscaping company servicing apartment communities and commercial properties throughout Fredericksburg and surrounding areas. We specialize in grounds maintenance, irrigation services, landscape design, and seasonal plant installations. We are looking for a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team and help maintain efficient irrigation systems across our properties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and repair commercial irrigation systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including adjusting sprinkler heads, checking controllers, and troubleshooting system malfunctions.
- Ensure proper water coverage and conservation techniques are applied.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, broken pipes, valves, solenoids, and wiring issues.
- Conduct system startups in the spring and winterizations in the fall.
- Communicate with property managers and site teams regarding irrigation schedules and concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Work efficiently as part of a team and independently to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an irrigation technician in commercial landscaping or a similar field.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, and water conservation techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and repair irrigation issues, including leaks and electrical problems.
- Familiarity with local water regulations and best practices for irrigation.
- Ability to operate trenchers, pipe pullers, and other irrigation equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
