Job Description:
We are seeking a resourceful and proactive Operations Specialist to oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics, and operational processes. This role is critical to ensuring that our products are delivered accurately and efficiently while optimizing operational workflows. The position requires some driving within the Inland Empire and availability for on-call shifts to meet urgent operational needs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in inventory or logistics and excels in driving process improvements and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for cranial plating products and tissue banks, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Track lot numbers, forecast inventory needs, and resolve stock discrepancies proactively.
- Perform regular inventory audits and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Fulfill customer orders with precision, verifying product codes, quantities, and shipping details.
- Prepare orders for shipping, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and timely dispatch.
- Manage daily outgoing restock shipments and ensure seamless coordination with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Operational Logistics:
- Drive within the Inland Empire to deliver urgent shipments or assist with case logistics as needed.
- Coordinate case logistics coordinator, ensuring the right products and equipment are ready for surgical procedures.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Oversee kit preparation and compliance with established protocols.
- On-Call Support:
- Be available for on-call shifts to handle urgent cases or logistical needs.
- Respond promptly to after-hours requests and coordinate solutions to meet critical timelines.
- Operational Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements in inventory management, fulfillment, and logistics workflows.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Data and Record Management:
- Maintain accurate operational records, including inventory reports, order tracking, and supplier agreements.
- Generate operational reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Experience in inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, or operational processes, preferably in a healthcare or medical device setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; familiarity with the Inland Empire area is a plus.
- Ability to work on-call shifts and respond promptly to urgent needs.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
