The Senior Brand Manager of Base Business will play a key role on the Marketing team, supporting the evolution of the brand portfolio to drive equity, relevance, and especially growth at key retail accounts.


Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Brand Manager will assist in the development and execution of annual marketing plans, integrated communications programs, and strategic initiatives to achieve brand and organizational objectives. The Senior Brand Manager will be a highly strategic, analytical, and results driven leader. They will manage three direct reports, including a Brand Manager of Base Business, a Brand Manager of Shopper Marketing, and an Associate Brand Manager of Base Business.


The incumbent will have a strong desire to build and drive in a dynamic and fast paced environment. They will be able to turn ambiguity into clear people, planning, and project management, and will use strong communication skill to drive alignment within and across functions. Furthermore, they will have a strong Brand Management background that will enable them to identify and take action against opportunities for improvement, supporting Juanita’s path to rapid growth.


Essential Functions:

Business and Brand Analysis, Monitoring and Reporting

  • In-depth market, competitive and brand analysis to assist in formulating brand strategy within a fast-moving consumer packaged goods category
  • Analyze business and brand results to ensure strategies are working and objectives are being realized, recommending course correction where relevant
  • Prepare and create engaging, meaningful and persuasive presentations
  • Own and actively manage brand marketing budget


Brand and Product Management

  • Build annual Marketing strategies and initiatives; work with cross-functional teams to translate into annual selling deck and other supporting materials and tool kits.
  • Manage the health of total portfolio, ensuring delivery against volume and profitability hurdles.
  • Lead the execution of near-term product development, including formulation changes, packaging changes, and customer-driven size/configuration changes.


Brand Equity and Communications Planning and Execution

  • Champion brand positioning and strategy across all projects.
  • Lead Brand Manager and agency partners in the development and execution of annual integrated communications plans.
  • Lead Shopper Marketer and Sales Teams in delivering against AOP objectives and driving growth at key customers.
  • Build capabilities across retail media and e-commerce to grow omni-channel presences and sales.


Leadership

  • Lead, motivate and develop team members within fast-paced, everchanging environment.
  • Build strong relations across functions, establishing mutual understanding, initiating lines of communication, and creating process to enable collaboration.


Experience and Background:

  • MBA degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ CPG Marketing/Brand Management experience required
  • Experience in Strategic Planning required. Securing direct manager alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders required.
  • Experience with direct management of internal reports, leading to strong execution and professional development/capabilities required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to clearly lay out objectives, strategies, tactics, key takeaways.
  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data to develop clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with brand and agency teams to translate objectives into marketing strategies and integrated communications programs.
  • Experience leading full year, integrated communications plans, inclusive of broadcast, digital, social, e-commerce, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Retail Media, including Walmart Connect, and e-commerce platforms a plus.
  • Resilient problem solver with ability to create focus within ambiguity, creating systems, process, and tools when appropriate.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills, with experience leading/influencing cross-functional teams, agencies, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability manage multiple projects to deliver against budget, timelines, and objectives.
  • High fluency in syndicated platforms and data (IRI, Nielsen).
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Appetite to help shape strategy, process, and team dynamics.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer, participating in virtual meetings, or performing other office-based tasks.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching to retrieve files or interact with team members in a warehouse or office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, such as handling sample products, office supplies, or documents.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Salary : $162,000 - $180,000
