What are the responsibilities and job description for the Immigration Attorney position at Juarez Law Firm?
The Immigration Attorney advises and represents clients in relation to their legal rights and has a strong background in immigration law, excellent client communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to our diverse clientele. You will be responsible for managing a full caseload, providing legal representation to individuals and families, and ensuring compliance with all immigration-related procedures.
Responsibilities
- Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
- Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels
- Handle a wide range of immigration cases, including family-based immigration, asylum, removal defense, employment-based immigration, and naturalization.
- Conduct client consultations, assess cases, and provide strategic legal advice.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
- Represent clients in immigration court, administrative hearings, and interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other relevant agencies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering any questions or concerns.
- Explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner to clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Conduct thorough legal research on relevant immigration laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Draft persuasive legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents in support of clients' cases, when applicable.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
