We are seeking a Professional Engineer – Lead – Traffic. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our traffic engineering group, which currently consists of 7 individuals ranging in experience from 0 years to 20 years. This group has consistently grown in its ability to capture and complete quality work, and now needs additional engineering experts to grow the traffic engineering practice company wide. This position reports to the Technical Resources Lead within the Transportation Services Group (TSG). Traffic Group Technical Roles Support the growth and development of the technical traffic practice companywide and function as a traffic engineering technical resource. Prepare traffic deliverables for local, state, private, and federally funded projects. Perform technical quality control / quality assurance for traffic engineering deliverables. Proficient in or possesses the ability to grow knowledge in : o Sidra o Vissim o Visum o HCS o Synchro o OpenPaths (Cube) o Vistro Desired areas of technical competency : o Travel Demand Modeling o Signalization and Corridor Timing o Transportation Master Plans o Traffic Impact Studies o Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) o Illumination o Signing and Striping o Traffic Safety Analysis o Noise Studies o Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Traffic Group Team Role Support strategic planning of traffic group operations. Mentor and support staff including EIT's and other transportation project engineers. Manage workload and identify workload gaps. Collaborate and support design engineers on transportation Projects. Business Development Roles Support business development pursuits under the direction of the Traffic Discipline Lead . Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is preferred. Professional Engineer with ability to obtain licensure in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, and Washington. Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE). 5-10 years of progressive traffic engineering experience. Expertise or ability to grow in HCS, Synchro, Sidra, OpenPaths (Cube), Vistro, Visum and, Vissim. Ability to mentor traffic EIT's. Proven ability to work with others and to manage project schedules and deliverables. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting multiple offices and teams. Strong communication and writing skills.
