Job Description: SAP OTC Architect
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP OTC processes. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end OTC lifecycle, expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), and experience integrating SAP with other modules and third-party systems. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align OTC processes with business objectives while driving efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities1. Solution Architecture & Design:
- Design and implement end-to-end OTC processes in SAP, including order management, pricing, delivery, invoicing, and payments.
- Develop detailed solution blueprints covering process flows, technical specifications, and integration points.
- Ensure alignment of OTC solutions with business requirements and compliance standards.
- Optimize critical OTC components like pricing conditions, credit management, revenue recognition, and customer returns.
2. Implementation & Integration:
- Lead SAP OTC implementations, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules such as MM, EWM, TM, and FICO.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP OTC with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, tax engines, payment gateways).
- Configure and customize SAP SD functionalities such as order types, billing documents, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee data migration and validation for master data like customer records, pricing conditions, and product hierarchies.
3. Leadership & Collaboration:
- Act as the primary SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all SAP OTC-related inquiries and decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide innovative OTC solutions.
- Lead and mentor project teams in OTC best practices and SAP capabilities.
- Foster collaboration among IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure project success.
4. Testing, Deployment, and Support:
- Develop test scenarios and lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for OTC solutions.
- Ensure successful deployment of OTC processes and provide post-implementation support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to sales orders, pricing discrepancies, and billing errors.
5. Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on SAP advancements, including S/4HANA OTC functionalities and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the OTC lifecycle.
- Recommend and implement tools or technologies to enhance OTC efficiency and scalability.
Required Skills and CompetenciesTechnical Skills:
- Deep expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and end-to-end OTC processes.
- Strong understanding of SAP integrations with FICO, MM, EWM, and CRM modules.
- Proficiency in configuring:
- Pricing conditions, tax determination, and revenue recognition.
- Order types, delivery schedules, and billing processes.
- Credit management and dispute resolution workflows.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA OTC and the new functionalities like Advanced ATP (Available-to-Promise) and Settlement Management.
- Knowledge of SAP integration tools and protocols (IDocs, BAPIs, Web Services).
- Familiarity with external systems such as payment gateways, tax engines (Vertex, Avalara), and CRM systems (Salesforce).

Experience and QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in SAP OTC implementations.
- 3 years in a solution architect role, focusing on OTC processes.
- Proven track record of leading full-cycle SAP OTC projects in complex environments.
Certifications:
- SAP SD or S/4HANA Sales Certification.
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications (preferred).
