The Staff Pharmacist role includes:
- Precision Compounding: You’ll compound drugs with meticulous attention to detail, following customer orders. Your expertise will directly impact patients’ well-being.
- Cutting-Edge Technology: Elute generators, calibrators, and analyzers—these are your tools. You’ll ensure they’re in top working order, maintaining accuracy and safety.
- Quality Assurance Champion: Conduct quality control checks on kits and instruments. From sterility tests to gas chromatography, you’ll uphold the highest standards.
- Radiation Safety Steward: May monitor our radiation safety program and may investigate spills and threats, ensuring everyone’s well-being.
- Patient-Centric Care: Counsel patients on prescriptions, answering their questions with empathy. Research new formulas and guide patients on usage and expected outcomes.
- Inventory Management: Keep our facility running smoothly. Order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership:Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, stepping in to support operations as needed.
- Environmental Responsibility: Collect and return used materials, ensuring proper disposal. Restock clean instruments for seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Education:A Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is essential.
- Authorized User Status: If you’re already an “Authorized User” of radioactive materials on a pharmacy’s license, that’s a huge plus. We are willing to help you achieve this status if this fits your career aspirations.
- Board Certification: Being a Board-Certified Nuclear Pharmacist (BCNP) is highly desirable though we can help you achieve this certification
- Radiation Safety Experience: If you’ve served as a Radiation Safety Officer, you’re ahead of the game. We can develop your knowledge in this space.
- Nuclear Pharmacy Experience: Ideally, you’ll have at least two years of experience as a nuclear pharmacist.
- Patient-Centric Mindset: Our focus is on patients. If you’re customer-focused and thrive in a team-oriented environment, you’ll fit right in.
