What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Store Associate position at Jubilee Ministries?
Retail Store Associate Accountability: Store Manager or In-Charge
Status: Full Time or Part Time (Up to 28 Hours); Non-Exempt
Purpose: To operate register and assist in general activities to keep the store functioning smoothly and to provide an excellent donor experiences for all those coming to drop off donations while sorting donations for shipment to processing.
Qualifications: • Experience in retail environment • Good mathematic skills to be able to count out change • Ability to be courteous and sociable to customers, relates well with people • Ability to recognize follow store policies • Dependable • Integrity • Willing to adhere to Jubilee’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Position Statements, and Employee Code of Conduct
Working Conditions/Physical Factors: Occasionally= 1-33% Frequently= 34-66% Continuously= 67%-100% • Lifting (under 25lbs) -Frequently • Reaching/Grabbing-Frequently • Standing- Continuously • Bending- Frequently • Interacting with and Assisting Customers- Continuously
Duties: • Provide an excellent customer service experience for everyone who enters the store or visits the dock. • Operate the register as scheduled. • Assist management in resolving customer concerns and returns. • Assist in opening and closing store and dock as instructed. • Assist in keeping shelves and racks full and displayed attractively and assist in keeping store and dock clean and organized. • Process donations according to policy. • Assist with loading or unloading purchases and donations.
