Judd & Black Appliance is an 85-year-old, locally owned and family operated independent appliance and barbecue retailer with six locations in Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties.
Summary of Position:
We have an immediate opportunity for a Payroll and Benefits Clerk, responsible for processing payroll (including commissions), benefits administration/reconciliation, working with TPA/HR to support worker’s comp, unemployment claims, COBRA, and leaves of absence, as well as some accounting support. Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and some experience with payroll and/or benefits support.
Responsibilities Include:
- Accurate and timely processing of all aspects of payroll for employees, including enforcing time reporting, calculating pay, working with payroll provider, etc.
- Ensures accurate employee benefits enrollment/changes and resolves issues regarding enrollments by adding/deleting employees; changing coverage; tracking employee eligibility; ACA tracking
- Monthly reconciliation of benefit service provider billings
- Works with TPA and/or HR on worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, COBRA, leaves of absence tracking, etc.
- Accounting support including bank statement reconciliation, creating entries in GL, assisting with cash management
- Prepares commission and incentive reports
- Prepares budget to sales reports weekly, monthly and yearly
- Maintains Personnel Files and records
Minimum Qualifications:
- AA Degree with 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office programs; Experience with Paylocity and QuickBooks a plus (not required).
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Position Pay Range:
$23-$29/hour, DOE
