We are seeking a skilled 3rd Shift Extruder Operator to join our team at Judd Wire, Inc. As a 3rd Shift Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extruders during the 3rd shift to produce high-quality wire and cable products.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of extrusion processes and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. You will be required to set up and operate extruders during the 3rd shift, as well as monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure quality and quantity parameters are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operation of extruders during the 3rd shift
- Monitoring and adjusting equipment settings to ensure quality and quantity parameters are met
- Performance of visual and tactile checks of work and taking samples according to specifications and instructions
- Detection and reporting of defective materials, improper compounding, and malfunctioning equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of progressive manufacturing experience directly related to extrusion
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes and equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
