Desktop Support Technician:
The Desktop Support Technician will work closely with our current support team in Networking, Telecom, and Systems Administration tasks. The employee will participate in the installation, configuration, and deployment of systems and provide overall technical support to internal staff on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles incoming support calls, emails, and verbal communications as the first line of support for all reported issues.
- Create support tickets, investigate issues, and document all findings.
- Install, upgrade, repair, and support Windows-based systems.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess strong troubleshooting skills related to PCs (software and hardware), Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.), VOIP phones, printers, scanners, analog fax, email, etc.
- Install, set up, and deliver PCs, printers, scanners, and other hardware devices to remote office locations.
- Have a general understanding of Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, DNS, O365, Bitlocker, and MS Office Suite products.
- Ability to use logical thinking to quickly resolve technical support issues.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task in an organized manner.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be required to travel to remote offices located throughout Northern Nevada region and vicinity.
Desired Experience:
- At least 2-3 years in help desk or related technical field.
- Associate’s degree or greater in Computers, Networking, or related technical field.
- A , Network , Microsoft Certification, or related technical certification a plus.
- Dental IT experience is a nice-to-have skill.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Additionally, the employee is also required to sit, stand, and drive for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
