What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Engineer position at Judge Direct Placement?
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Compliance Electrical Engineer in Sterling, IL area! The candidate will be responsible for managing projects required to obtain and maintain selected outside agency approvals for products. Their primary responsibility will be UL and Intertek approvals.
Responsibilities:
- Work with outside agencies to gain and maintain appropriate certifications
- Perform all work and conducts testing for safety products to assure compliance
- Conduct investigations and prepare required documentation to submit to agencies in support of certification process
- Work with project managers & engineers to evaluate design for ease of agency certifications
- Guides agency inspector through production and investigates any variation or violation notices issued
- Maintains complete and accurate records of required standards and procedures
- Maintain complete and accurate database of equipment listings and provides information of agency status to management
- Maintain calibration records for test equipment in agency lab
- Helps maintain a neat and orderly office and lab
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering required
- Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Ability to analyze components
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with UL test standards
- Must be able to read & understand engineering drawings
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
