What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Efficiency Specialist position at Judge Direct Placement?
The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Process Engineer to evaluate process systems and develop recommendations for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and quality enhancement policies in a continuous improvement environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate process systems to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement process improvement plans to enhance efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with employees and managers to pinpoint potential system or line opportunities within the facility
- Utilize tools to recognize losses and focus factory resources on high-impact areas
- Assist maintenance and operations in problem-solving and implement solutions
- Facilitate Kaizen Events and lead Cost Saving projects
Requirements:
- 5 years lean experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2-5 years' experience leading Kaizen events in manufacturing environments
- BS degree in Engineering preferred; IE, ME ideal
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
- Lean training/certification required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to teach CI concepts
- Experience solving complex manufacturing problems using DMAIC/PDCA or similar processes
