Job Summary:
- We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- The ideal candidate will support the improvement and optimization of existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Candidates should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Support the improvement and optimization of existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Conduct time studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and fixtures.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.
- Gain experience with CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Related internship completed.
- Strong interest in manufacturing and a desire to learn.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, or other manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Demonstrated project experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects is highly valued.
