Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Controller in the Elgin, IL area! The client is looking for a candidate who wants a long-term career and be a key member of the team. This person will oversee and handle all facets of accounting, accounting personnel, payroll, payroll generation, license renewals, wire-transfers, systems equipment and website renewals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial analysis
- Review company financial records and ensure accuracy
- Understand accounting systems and investigate related issues
- Perform period, quarterly and yearly closing functions and conduct financial analysis
- Make reports on period, quarterly and annual basis for division controller & federal, state and local agencies
- Prepare profit estimates and annual budgets for departments and analyze the activity
- Analyze and decide whether new business is financially beneficial and consistent with the company strategy
- Evaluate department and customer performance
- Control the company’s physical and liquid assets
- Review and approve expenditures
- Have a plan to prevent excessive spending
- Ensure all capital projects meet company requirements
- Supervise all office staff
- Follow all established programs and policies to meet all company requirements
- Support all aspects of the SQF 2000 Systems
- Supervise and guide all direct reports, including performance reviews and providing direct feedback
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10 years of accounting/finance experience
- Knowledge of INFO ERP and MITS systems preferred.
- Proficient with Excel & Access required
- Knowledge of accounting practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal an communication skills
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals
Salary : $135,000 - $145,000
