What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Engineer position at Judge Direct Placement?
The Judge Group is currently seeking an experienced Plant Engineer for a food manufacturing company in the Bristol, WI area. The right candidate will have 10 years of experience working in a food manufacturing and packing environment.
COMPENSATION: 175k plus bonus
MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
MUST HAVE: Knowledge of food or chemical manufacturing (mixing and batching)
MUST HAVE: Experience working with capital projects
MUST BE: A US Citizen or a Green Card Holder (I am only authorized to work with US Citizens and Green Card Holders for all positions)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage engineering project budgets
- Manage project scope including capital requirements
- Assure on time delivery within budget and functionality requirements
- Ensure technical, economic, and environmental standards and objectives are met
- Work with other departments as needed
- Work with maintenance to commissioning and start-up of new machinery and systems (Materials, Process Optimization, Cycle Time and Scrap)
- Participate is system design, and SOPs documentation
Performing process analysis such as time studies and mass balance and contribute to continuous improvement projects
- Utilize six sigma principals to approach problems
- Participate in yearly capital budgets (Write Ups, Design, Drawing, Technical Spec
- Write standard operating procedure documents
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of food or chemical manufacturing (mixing and batching)
- Knowledge of automation assembly processes
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and or TPS
- Proficiency with Auto Cad
- Must possess good organizational skills
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
