Large food manufacturer in the Anaheim area is seeking a Sanitation Manager to oversee 3rd shift operations. This person is responsible for overseeing and managing the sanitation team to ensure a clean and safe working environment. This role involves developing and implementing sanitation procedures, training and supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. Shift begins at 11pm.
Responsibilities
- Team Management :
- Hire, train, and supervise sanitation staff.
- Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
- Sanitation Procedures :
- Develop and implement sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and local health codes.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify sanitation needs and potential hazards.
- Monitor the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure proper application and safety.
- Inventory and Maintenance :
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures for sanitation operations.
- Quality Assurance :
- Conduct regular quality assurance audits to verify compliance with sanitation standards.
- Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints.
