Our client is currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor for their facility located in South Florida.
This is in a fast-paced Direct Store Distribution (DSD) environment, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless delivery operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily transportation operations, including route planning, driver scheduling, and on-time delivery to direct store locations.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of drivers and transportation staff to meet performance and safety standards.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Coordinate with warehouse, distribution, and store teams to optimize delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop cost-saving strategies and process improvements for transportation operations.
- Prepare and present reports on transportation performance, costs, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally in a DSD or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching and developing employees.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
