Azure Cloud Architect

Location: Wayne, PA
Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect with a strong focus on cloud platforms to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing cloud-based solutions, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure compute, networking, storage, and security, along with experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and cloud-only domains. Additionally, they will lead domain and email migrations, hybrid deployments, and tenant-to-tenant migrations.

Cloud Architecture & Migration

• Design, architect, and implement cloud-based solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Lead migration projects, including moving on-premises infrastructure to Azure and M365.
• Optimize cloud architectures for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Ensure best practices in compute, networking, storage, and security within Azure environments.

Microsoft 365 & Domain Migrations

• Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions, including migrations from on-premises or other cloud environments.
• Lead domain and email migrations, including hybrid and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Deploy and configure Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and integrate with other cloud services.
• Provide expertise in cloud-only domain implementations.

Infrastructure & Security

• Provide architecture and strategy for Windows Server environments, including Active Directory.
• Implement best practices for identity and access management, including role-based access control and security policies.
• Assess and enhance cloud security posture, including zero trust architecture and compliance frameworks.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and design solutions that align with business objectives.
• Serve as a technical advisor for cloud best practices, guiding internal teams and customers.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing support and maintenance.
• Stay updated on emerging Azure, M365, and cloud security trends to enhance architectural strategies.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.
• 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, security).
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, including migrations and administration.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience in domain, email, hybrid, and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity management, and best practices.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tools for cloud deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Project Management.
• Experience with building enterprise architecture roadmaps.
• Experience with cloud governance and cost optimization
• Familiarity with third-party migration tools for Microsoft cloud environments.
• Understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with edge computing concepts.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Stack and Virtualization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
