Description:
Title: Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: Richardson, TX (Remote)
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cybersecurity diligence on Sellers, including vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
- Develop and execute cybersecurity integration plans, ensuring alignment between the Seller's systems and the parent organization's security policies and standards.
- Monitor and secure IT infrastructure during the M&A lifecycle, including pre-close, post-close, and full integration phases.
- Identify cybersecurity overlaps, gaps and dependencies between merging entities and recommend solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement endpoint protection, identity access management (IAM), application onboarding and security, and other security measures across integrated systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and the Seller to implement threat detection, incident response planning, and real-time monitoring during integration to mitigate risks such as data breaches.
- Document findings from security reviews and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Work closely with internal teams and the Seller to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with exposure to M&A processes preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant GIAC certifications (e.g., GCIH) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing techniques, and cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on cybersecurity integration projects during mergers or acquisitions.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to data protection during M&A activities.
- Knowledge of change management principles in IT environments undergoing consolidation.
