Mainframe Programmer

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other relevant technologies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in system testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior programmers and other team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mainframe programming and development.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Certification in mainframe technologies.
