Description: Our client is currently seeking a Modeling & Simulation Software Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced simulation frameworks supporting mission-level analysis, tactics development, and autonomous system integration for a leading defense technology company.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-fidelity simulation models for sensors, communications, vehicle dynamics, and tactical behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate subsystem and system-level modeling.
- Enable mission-level concept exploration and software-in-the-loop (SITL) testing.
- Perform Monte Carlo simulations and Design of Experiments analysis.
- Partner with the autonomy and operations analysis teams to accelerate the development of cutting-edge systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 3 years (mid-level) or 8 years (senior-level) in modeling, simulation, and analysis engineering.
- Experience in aerospace systems (e.g., fixed-wing, satellites, rotorcraft) or subsurface vehicles.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to integrate simulation capabilities effectively.
- Proven ability to design and implement simulation frameworks, ensuring scalability and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in C and Python.
- Experience with simulation frameworks like AFSIM, NGTS, and 3DOF/6DOF modeling.
- Knowledge of flight dynamics, platform physics, and multi-threaded programming
- U.S. person status required for export-controlled data access.
- Clearance eligibility preferred but not required.
