We are seeking a talented Process Engineering Manager to join our Fortune 500 client and drive innovation in their manufacturing processes. This role offers the opportunity to partner with R&D to commercialize new products, optimize equipment, and lead process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with R&D to commercialize new products.
- Modify existing equipment to enable new revenue streams.
- Recommend new equipment to optimize existing production.
- Optimize existing processes for cycle time and minimize waste creation.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Maintain ownership of all recipes and BOMs (bill of material) for plant products.
- Lead the design of new processes to enable new plant capabilities.
- Effectively delegate responsibilities to team members to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Drive plant engineering toward profitability, production, and continuous improvement while prioritizing health and safety standards.
- Assign, direct, and evaluate the work of the Process Engineering staff.
- Correct performance issues within the Process Engineering team as needed.
- Provide counseling and mentorship to all employees.
- Execute career progression models for assigned employees.
- Maintain ownership of all plant engineering standards.
- Partner with EHS and Maintenance to ensure process designs are serviceable and safe.
- Manage the Process Engineering team.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Write speeches and articles using original techniques or styles.
- Make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
- Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory.
- Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and theorem
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferably a Master's degree).
- 10 years of related experience in Project Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and Process Control Systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to comprehend advanced calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory.
Experience:
- 10 years of related experience.
- In-depth understanding of plant operations.
- Ability to analyze scientific/technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
- Literacy in engineering, R&D, maintenance, quality, production, scheduling, forecasting, SAP, finance, EH&S, and plant management assistance.
