Description: Our client is currently seeking a System Administrator 3 with Active Top-Secret Clearance.

Security Clearance: Top Secret (Active within the past 24 months required)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support proprietary program network operations for OCONUS customers. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance for critical systems and applications across varied operating systems and hardware interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize functionality
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with security policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and operational consistency
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending network enhancements and innovations
• Participate in on-call support rotation to address network incidents and outages as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco switching, routing, and firewall hardware
• Strong understanding of network concepts (LAN/WAN, perimeter security, IPSec, routing/switching, packet filtering, IDS/IPS, authentication, cabling, troubleshooting)
• Experience implementing network security measures or conducting security assessments
• Proficiency in network documentation and process management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance network infrastructure
• Experience conducting network assessments and audits for improvement
• Strong technical documentation skills to maintain accurate network records
• Previous experience in a similar role supporting proprietary programs or CONUS customers
• Experience working with cross-functional teams for network upgrades, migrations, and expansions

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• Relevant network security certifications are highly desirable
