Responsibilities:
- Operational Support:
- Install, modify, document, and maintain system configurations and changes.
- Monitor system performance, analyze requirements, and optimize configurations for stability and efficiency.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (primarily PowerShell).
- Problem Management:
- Investigate and resolve system issues, both routine and complex.
- Identify and troubleshoot production incidents, providing immediate solutions.
- Monitor production systems for alerts, take corrective action, and ensure high availability.
- Support system testing, validation, and contribute to problem resolution reviews.
- User Support:
- Provide technical guidance to users in identifying and resolving system-related issues.
- Translate user requirements into technical solutions and advise on the use of approved technologies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate system status updates clearly and effectively.
- Participate in regular team and status meetings, ensuring alignment on system operations and project goals.
- Prepare written reports and status updates for both internal teams and customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with vendor partners and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration (additional experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration (versions 2016 and above).
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11 support.
- Strong understanding and experience with patch management processes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation.
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration.
- Experience with Change Management and related processes.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow for ticketing and change management.
- Experience in supporting ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems) servers.
Additional Information:
- This role operates in a hybrid agile environment, working in 2-week sprints.
- You will support ongoing operations while assisting with system upgrades and project implementation.
- You will be responsible for ensuring system stability and assisting senior team members with system changes and deployments.
