Title: Tableau Developer

Location: Chicago, IL (Downtown)

Onsite: Yes, 3 Days Week

Contract Length: 6 Months

Rate: $60-$90/hr

Project Overview:

We need to quickly develop business-critical reports. This involves building a dozen complex Tableau reports, each containing 8-10 sub-reports. These reports are specific to business needs. While the reports are not new, they need to be migrated to a new environment, requiring data sources to be rebuilt. The dashboards will remain consistent for end users while changes are made behind the scenes. The work will be conducted in 2-week sprints.

Key Requirements:

• Expertise in building dashboards
• Experience with Alteryx workflows is highly beneficial
• Strong understanding of role-level security
• Excellent communication skills for demos with executive stakeholders
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with AWS cloud is advantageous
• Tableau Public cloud link or sample would be helpful
• Experience in enterprise regulated environments

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5 years of data-centric design and development experience, focusing on BI, reporting, and analytics solutions.
• 3 years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing enterprise-wide reporting solutions with Tableau.
• Experience in performance optimization of complex workbooks, visualizations, and dashboards using large datasets.
• Experience with Alteryx workflows.
• Proficiency with Linux/command line and git.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, data systems, and data warehouses.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and various data management systems.
• Scripting knowledge using Shell scripting, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience with Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Understanding of data models and their relationship to reporting.
• Ability to interact with business users to identify reporting and data analysis needs.
• Understanding of financial markets for derivatives and derivative instruments.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) in Waterfall, Lean, and Agile work environments.
