Telecommunications Engineer

Location: Providence, RI
Salary: $85,000.00 USD Annually - $105,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Telecommunications Engineer
**MUST HAVE STRONG CISCO EXPERIENCE**

Hybrid role out of Providence, RI location

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for system management, engineering, design, administration and maintenance of digital voice, VoIP-UC network communications systems, ensuring consistent, reliable, and uninterrupted service.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to respond to system alarms, perform initial troubleshooting and coordinate timely resolution with appropriate vendor support teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with VoIP telephone systems, voice mail systems, access/carrier systems and related power plants, including in-depth working knowledge of VoIP-UC communications networks preferred.
• Experience in Cisco VoIP-UC networking technology preferred
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS, CUBE, Webex calling, Expressway C/E, jabber
• Familiarity with linux/shell and virtual machine environments.
• VoIP-UC certifications preferred.
• Experienced in working with SIP VoIP systems
• Experience with troubleshooting VoIP/SIP issues independently and with vendor support
