Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Installation: Physically install and secure servers, switches, and other data center hardware into racks.
- Cabling Management: Efficiently route and manage power and network cables to maintain clean and organized racks. Experience with fiber optic cabling required.
- Configuration Support: Assist in basic hardware configurations and connectivity testing.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Perform basic diagnostics and report hardware issues to senior technicians or engineers.
- Documentation: Update and maintain inventory records, floor layouts, and installation checklists.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling heavy equipment and electrical components.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to support infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA) are a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience with data center operations or hardware installation is preferred.
