Benefits to you
- We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.
- The hourly equivalent for this position is $37.74 - $58.55.

Umatilla County Circuit Court
in Pendleton, Oregon is hiring a Specialty Court Coordinator (Program Coordinator).
In this role…
You will be responsible for creating policies and procedures for our specialty court programs. You will propose and coordinate plans for improvements, identify and apply for grants and other funding, and arrange for program evaluation.
Collaboration is a key part of this role. You will facilitate communication among service providers to ensure coordinated, integrated, appropriate, and focused service delivery. As a subject matter expert for our specialty court programs, you will liaise with judges, OJD court and division staff, the federal government, community organizations, and program participants. You will meet with applicants for specialty court programs and provide them with information about the programs. You will also review applications and use screening tools to determine program eligibility, meet with program participants to help them with their documents, and maintain regular contact with all program participants.
Additionally, you will maintain confidential files, monitor program participants’ compliance with various program requirements, prepare a weekly progress report, collect data about program effectiveness, update files, perform data entry, arrange, and attend specialty court sessions, and maintain a record of actions. You will also facilitate, plan the agenda for, schedule, and attend policy committee staff meetings.
Part of your time will be spent participating in training and educational programs at the local, regional, statewide, and national levels. You will also provide coverage for other positions in the circuit court as needed.

- Experience fostering cooperative working relationships among staff, agencies, community partners, and other interested parties.
- Experience meeting with program participants and reviewing application materials to determine eligibility for entry into a program.
- Experience communicating decisions regarding the approval or denial of benefits or services and the explanation of laws, rules, or regulations.
- Proficiency using a computer to enter and retrieve data, perform research and analysis, and present findings to a supervisor or group.
- Experience developing and implementing long- and short-term goals.
- Experience with public speaking and addressing groups of various sizes.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 per work week.
- Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
- Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
