Judson Group has been retained by a privately-held RIA with over $1B AUM to find a President of Wealth Management. The firm is looking for a senior leader to oversee the wealth management practice in its next phase of growth so that the Founder can primarily focus on its separate family office offering.
The President of Wealth Management will serve as the senior executive leader of the firm, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the wealth management business, including strategic growth, operational management, team leadership, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leadership in the financial services industry, experience in scaling an advisory business, and a client-first mentality.
The President of Wealth Management will report directly to the Founder, who will maintain a limited role as a strategic advisor to the firm. This position requires someone with the ability to drive sustainable growth while ensuring the firm’s values, culture, and client-centric focus remain at the forefront.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and managerial ownership of the firm's day-to-day wealth management client service, investment management, and operations.
- Develop and executive the firm’s strategic growth plan, including organic growth, client acquisition, and potential M&A opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of financial advisors, while having oversight on the operational management team.
- Manage the firm’s financial, operational, and performance plans, goals, and strategies.
- Oversee the firm's relationships with external resource providers & vendors.
- Maintains awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree; advanced degree and/or designations highly preferred (CFP, CFA, CPA)
- 15 years of progressive wealth management experience including but not limited to:
- Experience directly advising clients on financial planning and investment management.
- RIA operations and business management experience.
- Experience building and managing a team.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong business acumen, with demonstrated success in achieving financial targets.
