PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs required for satisfactory operation of HVAC equipment within the district
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license, insurable with Judson ISD insurance carrier, and a good driving record
- Must have a Universal CFC License
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
Special Knowledge and Skills
Possesses general knowledge of tools, instruments, and equipment of their usesMust be capable of reading writing schematics and possess a general knowledge of electrical and HVAC componentsKnowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniquesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference materialAbility to perform mathematical calculationsAbility to diagnose and resolve problemsAbility to use hand and power toolsExperience :
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the trade or graduation from HVAC vocational training courseMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

Comply with District directives and Maintenance Policies and safety proceduresMaintain upkeep of shop and inventory of tools and equipmentMaintain and orders repair parts as neededInsure that all safety requirements are followedPerform maintenance on air compressors, ice machines, refrigeration, drinking fountains, rooftop units, and split systemsPerform preventive maintenance, periodic checks of equipment, and schedules filter changesPerform maintenance on boilers-open, clean and schedule inspectionsRespond to emergency calls as neededDiagnose and repair malfunctions on roof top units and split systemsReceive and complete work ordersPerform other duties as assigned, based on department needsMust complete designated district technology proficiencies each yearRequires a basic knowledge of technology / computer skillsAbility to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resourcesMaintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearanceEnsure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of EthicsDaily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the jobSupervisory Responsibilities :
