Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a deep understanding of restaurant management best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality dining experience, maintaining operational efficiency, and leading a team to meet financial and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Staff Leadership:
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff. Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming and hospitable environment.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage budgets, control costs, monitor profit and loss, and meet or exceed financial targets. Track daily sales, labor costs, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Inventory & Supply Management:
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent availability of quality products.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate on local marketing strategies and promotional events to increase traffic and brand awareness.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, food safety standards, and local/state laws including alcohol licensing and labor regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a restaurant manager, general manager, or in a similar leadership role (3 years preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Solid understanding of restaurant financials and performance metrics
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and restaurant technology tools
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality or Business is a plus
- Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred
