Job Title: Office Assistant – Restaurant Operations

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support the administrative and operational functions of our restaurant. This role is essential in maintaining smooth back-office procedures, ensuring timely communication, and assisting the management team in day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Answer phone calls, manage emails, and handle general inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain and organize digital and physical files, records, and documents
- Assist in scheduling and calendar management for management and key staff
- Help with onboarding paperwork and orientation for new hires
Operations Assistance
- Enter and update employee schedules, timecards, and shift changes using scheduling software (e.g., 7shifts, HotSchedules)
- Support with inventory recordkeeping, order confirmations, and vendor communication
- Assist with POS system data entry and daily sales reconciliation
- Help prepare reports for payroll, expenses, and supply orders
Customer & Team Support
- Assist in managing online reviews and guest feedback with appropriate responses
- Support coordination of staff meetings, training sessions, or team events
- Be a communication bridge between front-of-house, back-of-house, and management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an office assistant, administrative, or clerical role (restaurant or hospitality environment preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and familiarity with POS, scheduling, and HR systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using restaurant-specific tools like Toast, Square, MarketMan, or QuickBooks
- Basic understanding of labor laws, scheduling regulations, and food safety documentation
- Comfort working in a hospitality setting with changing priorities
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday–Friday with occasional weekend support (depending on business needs)
- Competitive hourly wage or salary, depending on experience _ Starting at $17- $20
