What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adapted Physical Education Teacher position at JUHSD?
Ideal candidate shall : - Assist in identifying and assessing student's for adapted physical education service eligibility; provides direct and consultative APE services to Intellectually Disabled students, students with Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthopedic Impairments, Other Health Impairment, and other disabilities not listed, grades K-12. - Attend IEP meetings as directed to report findings and make recommendations; responsible for development of IEP current performance and objectives and collecting data to document student progress; maintain regular contact with supervisor to review caseloads and student needs; attend staff meetings and assist with staff development; travel to schools as required; document therapy received and record progress; maintain a variety of service related logs; prepare reports; organize material needed for interventions. Experience in Secondary Education preferred.
