As a Bakery Production Associate, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the production of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, and pastries.
Your job duties will include:
- Preparing ingredients according to recipes and mixing batters and doughs as needed.
- Operating baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
- Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately to ensure consistent quality.
- Decorating baked goods, including cakes and pastries, using various techniques such as piping and icing.
- Packaging and labeling finished products, and preparing them for sale or delivery.
- Ensuring that baked goods are produced on time and in the correct quantities to meet demand.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health department regulations.
- Helping with other tasks as needed, such as washing dishes or taking out the trash.
To excel in this role, you will need to have good attention to detail, be able to follow recipes accurately, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You should be comfortable standing for extended periods of time and be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as bags of flour or sugar. Additionally, you should have good communication skills, be a team player, and be able to take direction from supervisors. Finally, a passion for baked goods and a desire to learn about the bakery's products and processes will help you produce high-quality baked goods that customers will enjoy.
