What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acrobatic Dance Instructor position at Juliart Dance Studio?
Juliart Dance Studio is seeking a qualified Acrobatic Dance Teacher to join our talented faculty. This teacher will instruct students of all ages (beginner to advanced) in acrobatic dance technique, helping them develop strength, flexibility, and acrobatic skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach acrobatic dance classes for recreational students of all ages (3 - 18)
- Plan and implement progressive lessons that teach acrobatics, flexibility, and tumbling skills
- Ensure proper safety protocols are followed during class
- Work with other faculty members to incorporate acro into choreography as needed
- Provide feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Strong background in acro dance, gymnastics, or similar disciplines
- 2 years of teaching experience (or equivalent training)
- Ability to teach students of varying ages and skill levels
- Knowledge of proper spotting techniques and injury prevention
- Patient, creative, and able to work well with children and teens
- Certification in acrobatics, gymnastics, or dance-related fields is a plus
- Great communication skills
- Must be punctual, organized, and reliable
