JULIE, Inc. provides excavators and underground utility owners with a continuously improving, one-call message handling and delivery service to protecting underground utilities and the safety of people working or living near them. SUMMARY: Call Center Operators receive calls, enters information into the Call Center data base, and provides customer service to incoming callers. JULIE is a 24 hour, 365 day operation with varying work shifts. DUTIES/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily:
1) Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and securing all required information accurately for the completion of a locate request. Operators should have strong communication skills, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be detail-orientated, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
2) Operators are required to verify information with customers to ensure accuracy and answer any questions that may arise. Candidates must possess strong listening and articulation skills; previous customer service experience a plus.
3) Must be proficient working with a computer key board and have a basic understanding of computer technology. Candidates must be able to type 35 words per minute and able to read and understand directional maps. Perform office clerical tasks as directed.
4) Seasonal (or Peak) operators may work up to 40 hours or more per week as scheduled or needed; Part-time operators must be available for afternoon shifts; all employees are required to arrive prior to the start of their assigned shift on time. Work shifts may require nights, weekends, and holidays.
Communicate with team members on regular basis to provide optimal customer service. Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment. Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
